金沢大学博士研究人材支援・研究力強化戦略プロジェクト（HaKaSe⁺）とキャリア支援室は，学生のアカデミックスキル向上を目的として，3月4日(水)に「Nature Masterclasses Expert trainer-led Workshop」を開催しました。
Kanazawa University Strategic Project for Development of Doctoral Students and Research Promotion (HaKaSe⁺) and KU Career Support Office held the “Nature Masterclasses Expert Trainer-Led Workshop” on 3/4(wed.) with the aim of enhancing students’ academic skills.

このワークショップは，研究・教育・専門領域において世界をリードする出版社の1つであるSpringer Nature社から専属講師のメイベリン・ヨー博士を招へいし，全て英語により講義を実施するものです。今回は「専門外の一般の人々へ研究内容を伝える」をテーマに，朝から夕方まで5講義を行い，45名の学生が参加しました。
This workshop featured Dr. Maybelline Yeo, an exclusive trainer from Springer Nature—one of the world’s leading publishers in research, education, and specialized fields—delivering lectures entirely in English. Centered on the theme of “ Communicating Your Research to Non-specialists ” the workshop comprised 5 lectures held from morning to evening, with 45 students participating.

参加学生らは，科学コミュニケーションの重要性，コミュニケーションの効果的な戦略，科学に意味を持たせる物語づくり，科学を伝えるためのプラットフォーム，生成AIを活用した研究共有など，ヨー博士から説明や指導を受け，研究者と一般の人々との科学的なコミュニケーションに関する必要なスキルを学びました。
The participating students received explanations and guidance from Dr. Yeo on The importance of science communication, Effective communication strategies, Structuring and framing narratives that give making your science matter, Platforms for communicating science, and sharing research using generative AI. They learned essential skills for scientific communication between researchers and the Non-specialists.
