As previously announced, the support project to doctoral students from FY2024 onwards will be changed due to a change in the subsidized projects of the Japanese government, and Kanazawa University (hereinafter referred to as “KU”) has applied to the successor project “SPRING: Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation”

The call for applications for Selection in April, 2024 of the “Kanazawa University Strategic Project for Development of Doctoral Students and Research Promotion (HaKaSe⁺) ” must be conducted after the result of the successor project has been decided.
Therefore, the content and timing of call for applications for Selection in April, 2024, as well as the financial support provided for selected students if selected, are still under consideration and have not yet been determined.

So, those who were planning to apply for the call for applications for Selection in April, 2024 of HaKaSe⁺ and would like to receive exemption from admission fee and tuition fee as a selected student for FY2024 should carefully read and confirm the necessary procedures to apply for Entrance fee waiver and deferment of entrance fee payment and Tuition fee waiver on the following Kanazawa University website and complete the procedures at your own risk apart from applying for HaKaSe⁺.
Note that Entrance fee waiver and Tuition fee waiver are determined after examination based on the applicant’s application.
Therefore, please keep in mind that even if you apply, it does not necessarily mean you will be exempted.
