HaKaSe+ carried out its original study abroad program “HaKaSe+ Global Camp in Taiwan”

For 9 days from December 4th to 12th, 2023, Kanazawa University Strategic Project for Development of Doctoral Students and Research Promotion (HaKaSe+) carried out the original study abroad program. A total of six students selected for WISE Program for Nano-Precision Medicine, Science, and Technology, KU Doctoral Fellowship Project for Science & Technology and Project for Outstanding Next Generation Ph.D. Students participated, regardless of their research fields of humanities and social sciences, natural sciences, or life sciences.
“HaKaSe+ Global Camp in Taiwan” is an opportunity for selected students who will be active on the world stage in the future with doctoral degree to cultivate a broader perspective, internationality, and interdisciplinarity, and to take the first step toward international joint research. This is our first originally developed study abroad program in 2023, in collaboration with National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), one of our university’s international partner institutions.
This program consists of practical English communication lessons needed to succeed internationally as a doctoral talent, research exchanges and opinion exchanges with doctoral students and researchers of NTNU and National Taiwan University, as well as visiting international cutting-edge companies. The participating students transcended the boundaries of their research fields, and worked hard to gain perspectives outside their field, build international networks, and engage in cross-cultural exchange through research exchange and collaboration with researchers from multiple fields.
HaKaSe+ will further develop its collaboration with NTNU, and improve our special program for the next year.
